In addition to the invaluable contributions of Joanie Pop, Toni Droscher, the conference advisory committee and co-sponsors, a great array of people contributed substantially to the success of Puget Sound Research 2001, most notably:

  • Session chairs, named on the session title pages, provided the essential (and largely unheralded) function of facilitating concurrent sessions to ensure a smooth-running conference and resolving presenter and audio/visual issues on the fly.
  • Jill Williams (Action Team staff) designed and led the production of the Call for Presentations and the final program; designed and coordinated the ever-changing conference web-site; and designed the CD-ROM materials.
  • Jo Ellen Henry (Action Team staff) compiled the conference abstract book, coordinated the judging of student presentations, coordinated the set up of the poster session and provided much additional assistance.
  • Stephanie Lidren, Gigi Williams and Jill Walker (Action Team staff) spent countless hours transcribing the tapes from the keynote, plenary and Q & A sessions.
  • Other Action Team staff provided support for presenters (including audio/visual assistance), assisted with registration, coordinated with members of the media, and offered many assists to help plenary, concurrent and poster sessions run smoothly.
  • Stacy Hart, Fala Frazier and other Event Dynamics, Inc. contractors coordinated most aspects of the conference logistics and filled in wherever needed to ensure the proper care of conference presenters and attendees and comfortable relations with Meydenbauer staff.
  • Meydenbauer staff, coordinated by Emily Dietman, provided a wonderful conference habitat.
